Understand your target market: Issue
‘Know your customer’ has been the dominant marketing mantra of the past decade or more. You are probably drowning in data which tells you everything but the things which you most need to understand: what needs are your customers looking to fulfill when they buy from you, and how can you service those needs more effectively?
To understand that you’ll have to understand their motivations: what drives the choices they make? How effectively does your product satisfy them? What can you do to improve the match between what they ‘need’ from you, and what you actually provide?
What you need is a model of consumer behavior.
